      Interview

I attended the interview process for an SAP role at Accenture. The process mainly focused on my SAP SD knowledge, real-time project experience, and understanding of end-to-end business processes. The interviewer asked questions related to the Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle, sales order processing, delivery, billing, pricing, partner determination, copy controls, and common production support scenarios. They also asked about my experience in handling incidents, requirement analysis, and coordination with business users. Apart from SAP functional questions, they discussed my previous projects, responsibilities, and how I approach troubleshooting issues in SAP. The interview was professional and focused more on practical knowledge rather than only theoretical concepts.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in Sep 2025

      Interview

I was approached by Accenture on LinkedIn, where we initially discussed salary expectations and agreed to proceed with a first interview. The first interview with HR went well, and shortly after, the second interview was scheduled and already in progress. The second interview was more technical and involved two interviewers. Overall, it was a very positive experience: the conversation went well, they seemed to like my profile, and I was genuinely interested in the opportunity and the new challenge. In both interviews, I was very transparent about my salary range. This was clearly communicated from the beginning and reiterated throughout the process. However, about a week (or less) after the second interview, I received a call from HR informing me that they could not meet my expected salary. Instead, they proposed an offer below my stated range and, more importantly, lower than my current salary. I found this extremely disappointing and disrespectful. Given that my salary expectations were clearly communicated multiple times, I believe that if my range did not align with their budget, this should have been addressed before moving forward with the interview process. Proceeding through multiple stages only to present an offer below my current compensation does not seem fair or professional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were mainly about the projects I have worked on, my previous experience, and some technical questions related to SAP. Overall, the questions were manageable and aligned with my background.
