Had a preliminary screen with one of their corporate recruiters in late April 2022. Went well or at least well enough that I was moved on with a schedule next step interview with their Sr. Director - Demand Marketing and self-professed "future CMO" which was to occur in early May. The morning of that interview I waited online for the "future CMO" to join but she never did. I reached out to the company after waiting online and wasting my time only to find out that she was out of the office for the whole week. Too bad no one from Actian had the professional courtesy to let me know about this. Better to leave qualified candidates in the dark and waiting online for nothing I guess. Recruiter did get back to me to say - "She had an emergency flight to catch. I will have to reschedule upon her return." OK. So I waited a week and contacted them again to reschedule the interview but guess what the "future CMO" replied. There must have been some wires crossed in their company and that the position had been filled. So I great kiss-off after standing me up for the interview. Good technique. Certainly seems like a company and a "future CMO" one would want to work for. NOT!!!
