I applied to the Clinical Admissions Associate position via Indeed, and a few days later received an interview request from the recruiter. We did a video interview and I felt that things went very well. She was very positive and described the position and the company culture with me. Afterwards, an in-person interview was set up so I could interview with the office manager.
I soon received an email saying that the recruiter had mixed up the interview locations, and I would be interviewing at a different location. No big deal. The day of my interview, I met with my interviewer who turned out had only just started a week prior. The office manager who was supposed to be interviewing me was out for the day. He asked me some typical interview questions, and also had two additional interviewers on Zoom so they could ask me questions as well. I found out that the position for the location I had originally applied for had already been filled, so if I received an offer I would be going to a different job location (meaning my commute would be significantly different than what I had anticipated).
Despite the many changes, I thought everything went pretty well, and was told I should hear something back by the end of that week. Friday rolled around and I did not hear anything, so I reached out to the recruiter via email. I also emailed the person I interviewed with, but did not receive a response from him either.
Overall, I had a pretty negative experience. I understand if I was not the right candidate for the job, but I really would have appreciated an email telling me they moved forward with someone else. I felt that the company behaved very unprofessionally and clearly does not treat their candidates well. It was a disappointing experience to say the least, as I was very excited about the position initially.
