I had a phone interview in the beginning. Afterwards, an interview was scheduled for the day. The HR had asked me about my French Language proficiency and I had replied that it was minimal. She was okay with that. However, on the day of interview, the hiring manager started conversation in French and did not want to continue with the interview at all. It was a very bad experience for me. I reached out to the HR who gave me the phone interview, and she said she would get back to me. Unfortunately, the hiring team did not even show the courtesy of giving me a personal email or a call for mixup, apart from the generic computer email. Would not want to work at a company like that.
