Addepar Executive Assistant interview questions

I applied online and received a request to phone interview.. Initially excited to interview, but was left disappointed to find that the interviewer was new and a terrible one at best. Barely asked/answered any questions about my experience or about the role but did ask me if I was reviewing any offers. I mentioned that just after I received the invite from Addepar, that I received an offer from another company but there was flexibility as it was just 2 days ago. I expressed strong keenness in Addepar, this role and wanted to continue the conversation as my experience and skillset was a match to the team this individual would be supporting. The interviewer then told me they were already in final stages with other candidates holding in-person interviews, didn't want to waste his teams' time if I had an offer and unlikely I'd move forward. If they were already in final stages with others, whether or not I mentioned I had just received another offer, I'm not sure what the point of this 'interview' was for? Thanks Addepar!
