      Customer Success Manager (CSM) Interview

      Feb 18, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Singapore
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe (Singapore) in Feb 2021

      Interview

1 HR screening call + 2 interviews + 1 panel presentation HR screening call: Mostly to check through some basics on the CV, clarify salary expectation, current experience First interview: 30 mins conversation with hiring manager which was more a conversation than an interview and not too formal. Second interview: 1 hour interview with the hiring manager's manager. Here more dedicated CSM questions (size of book of business, renewal rates, handling tough situations etc.) Panel presentation: was with the hiring manager and a sales leader for the product. Got a scenario given (about 2 weeks time to prepare) which was to prepare a presentation with a client you are meeting for the first time as a CSM. After that HR called already with the result.

      Interview

Disappointing Interview Experience - Lack of Professionalism and Unproductive Interaction I recently interviewed for a role at Adobe, applying online, and my experience during the second-level interview left me extremely disappointed. The interview was conducted by a member of the Sales leadership team based out of Noida, and unfortunately, it did not reflect the level of professionalism I expected from a company like Adobe. Here are a few key aspects that contributed to my negative experience: Irrelevant Questions: The majority of the questions asked were not aligned with the role I was being considered for. It felt like there was a disconnect between what was being asked and the actual requirements of the job. As a candidate, this made it difficult for me to showcase my relevant skills and experience. 2) Lack of Openness: The interviewer was not receptive to my perspective or responses. Every time I tried to explain my point of view, I felt like it was immediately dismissed, and the conversation quickly became one-sided. There was a noticeable reluctance to engage in a meaningful dialogue, and I found this discouraging. 3) Toxic Culture: While I had heard mixed things about Adobe’s workplace culture, I got a firsthand taste of what many have mentioned, particularly around toxic dynamics driven by favoritism. This was particularly disheartening, as I was expecting a more inclusive and constructive interview process. 4) Unprofessionalism: The interviewer joined the call significantly late, and when he did, the communication was poor.
