The initial 45 minutes interview with the EU recruiter was utterly unprofessional and unpleasant. Instead of asking questions about my skills and professional experience, he started with personal questions like my age and cultural background. These questions are illegal in many countries, and frankly, I'm very much shocked having heard that. After being pressured to tell the recruiter my age and cultural background, I could tell that he immediately became uninterested in continuing the conversation. So he decided to ramble on about how "cool" it is to have employees coming from all backgrounds. To all future candidates who are applying for any positions at Advantech (Europe), I strongly advise you NOT TO APPLY to this company that condones biased, discriminatory and unprofessional employees/recruiters.
