I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AdventHealth Orlando in Jan 2014
Interview
I received an email from HR to fill out a personality test and had to get at least 4 referrals (need email addresses from your referrals). After finishing a personality test, I was asked to set up an interview with HR and the Nurse manager. The questions were a mix of behavioral and clinical scenarios. After the interview they gave me a tour of the department. The whole thing took about 30-45 minutes.
I suggest looking up behavioral questions online and practice answering them. Review your nursing interventions for clinical scenarios. If you don't know the answer to a scenario, try to think it through. They want to see that you are trying!
I would also suggest having some questions prepared to ask them as well.

Question 1
Tell me a time you had to tell a client or a family member no because it was against hospital protocol or policy.
It’s was straight forward. Definitely think about the question before answering. They also asked questions that was related to medical scenarios, such as what to do if your patient is having chest pain?
