Opportunity presented by an associate who recommended me for this new position. Met with project manager for new program twice, both informal. Was prepped and primed by my associate. Had one on one interview with director and come to find out, I was being interviewed for a completely different position. Was blind-sided by the sudden shift in job description. One on one interview was about an hour long - the director read the interview questions off a standard questionnaire from their HR dept. I was very disappointed with the confusion, however I did not indicate that I was disappointed or confused. The project manager who was charged to spearhead this new unit and position consistently failed to respond to phone calls or text messages unless urged by my associate. VERY disappointed in the follow through of an upper management person - charged to spearhead a new unit who can't even acknowledge an email receipt. Its no wonder the corporation is having financial difficulty and organizational challenges.
