I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (Singapore) in May 2020
Interview
Adyen is not a run of the mill payments company. They take their culture seriously and have a Dutch style of working - where they are direct and upfront about expectations and feedback - which I loved.
What's amazing about the interview experience is that you get to speak to a board member ( I spoke to the COO) as the last culture fit round - and the way to see if you fit here is just be yourself, transparent and honest (this is unconventional advise because often as a candidate you get templated answers - which may not work in Adyen's case)
Adyen work with mature enterprise companies (both offline and online) and have built amazing knowledge of the payments world bottom up over decades. With a focus on growing in the SEA region, Adyen is ripe for growth, with COVID being a great push.
The hiring manager for this role is an amazing person and is building a world class team.

Interviewers are looking to assess the candidate potential fit with Adyen, but interviews are very conversational.
First interview with HR was pretty normal. The second interview was with a team member who looked like he didn't care at all. There were no technical questions, all questions were related to my experience so it was difficult to fail. After that, I received a rejection without even a technical interview.
This position is always open and it has been open for years, doesn't seem like they're hiring at all.
