Heard back within the week to schedule a chat with the hiring manager, ended up having another good chat and was told what to prep for the next interview which was to be arranged within the next week. That's when things get abit dicey and the ghosting began.
While COVID was a significant barrier to the interview process and affected next steps, the complete disrespect for candidates was appalling. It is absolutely fine that a role is rescinded or deprioritised but it is basic courtesy to inform candidates of so instead of leading them on for weeks for on. Honestly, the company seems like a great one to work for and peers who work within the organisation were also left disappointed with the way the situation was handled.
