At first, I had a skype interview with 2 Front End Developers. We were talking about my previous experience, how I prefer to work, what I like and don't like and etc. In general, the interview went well and I got positive feedback in a few days.
The next step was a technical task, that they asked me to complete in 3-4 hours. I had to create an application that connects to some public API, shows information to the user and gives him a possibility to filter the results.
I sent my test the very next day and get the feedback in a week. The feedback was negative by pointing out UX/UI issues, the absence of Authentication and ErrorHandling and some concerns regarding chosen technologies. The other good comment was is like "There is no real case to use this application. Why would I want to use this ?", taking into account that the has been done according to their specification.
And while in general, I agree with most of the comments provided to me, I don't really think that it is possible to create a fully developed application with in 3-4 hours.
In conclusion, this hiring process seemed to be really odd, and I rather happy to be rejected on this stage.
