The worst application process ever. Very impersonal.
First you get an email from another party(prelude) about your interview. It has been rescheduled many times without even reaching me out. Scheduling mail is coming from a generic email and does not include HR email, only name of HR not even not a surname. When there is a inconvenience, there is no info to reach out somebody. I had to literally stalk the name of the person and company name in Linkedin to find the surname and guess the email address to reach out a real person. Even then, I got answer 3 days later with an answer that there was a technical problem. Then HR arrange another interview which I got time off from my current company. Guess what, the meting link was invalid. Again, nobody called me or send an email. Instead I had to send many emails on the time of the interview that link is broken. No answer. The best practice as far as I know reaching out the person to see what happened. To note, I did not have any phone number to reach out.
Finally after almost 4 weeks, I could meet with HR but not the manager that I am supposed to have interview with. She then sent me a technical interview which I also had some 'technical' problems. I sent immediately an email about it to HR, yet I don't think she read. Because 4 days later, she asked me if there was a problem. Having the new test took me 4 emails that I dont get any answer and +9 days.
I finished the coding exercise on the same day and I actually did pretty okay, at least I know it demonstrates my SQL and Python skills. I dont think I did not pass.
Yet, this morning, I got another very generic email mentioning that "We’ve reviewed your application and, unfortunately, it’s not a match for what we’re specifically searching for in this role."
Good. Be impersonal.
I think what happened is the role has been closed long before and HR just spent some time with me to fix her mistake. Thanks a lot taking my time.
