I applied for the PHP Plugin developer position. They have 5 interviews. the first one is a 30 minutes phone call with the Recruiter, they dig into your experiences and questionnaire why you look for a new opportunity and why Adyen. They focus on your communication and if you have proper experiences for them.
Then if you pass the basic step, the second one is a 1h zoom call with 2 developers about your soft skill and they questionnaire your experiences with few technical questions, they look into if you are fit with the Adyen formula if you are a good communicator. If you pass this step then they send you a Hackerrank assignment.
After your test result, if everything is fine, they invite you for the technical meeting with 2 developers. They questionnaire your technical skills deeply, give you some job-related problems to solve, and ask why you follow the specific way for your solution on the test.
If you pass this step, you have 2 more interviews, the first one is a formula interview with a team lead and a project manager, and the other is a boarding interview with CTO.

I had fun each every step except the formula interview because the team lead looked like he didn't want to communicate with you and make you feel that he just joined the meeting because he has to.
He asked so random questions such as what is your role in your current company, when do you work with your colleague, do you always work on a task yourself, what are DDD, BDD, and TDD.
He didn't reflect any emotion if he understands you or not, made me felt he didn't listen to me because he sometimes asked the same questions. Every I finished talking, there was silence for a while. It defocused me.
But I caught good communication with PM, She asked me relevant questions about her domain. I believe I replied to all questions correctly and I was direct and honest. For example, he asked me what are BDD, TDD, and DDD, I said I only used BDD in the past, I just researched TDD and DDD by myself because I had no chance to use them in any company. I explained what are they. in the end, I didn't get any feedback, so if they don't understand me why they don't talk straight and tell me it? The next day I had a boarding interview with CTO. I prepared for it and I came across with the Recruiter instead of CTO!? He told me I couldn't pass the Formula interview because the lead doesn't think I talked straight.
If I have a communication issue or I don't talk straight then why I passed the second meeting interview? It is funny everybody gets me correctly in every step but the leader does not. It is fine they didn't hire me but I was upset with the Recruiter told me we had a communication issue. I don't accept it, I didn't have any communication issues, I did the best I can. Even I felt the project manager liked my experienced and she got me correctly. Even my experiences super matched with the role.
The recruiter told me I could try after 6 months :) It is funny, I won't try again, of course, my time is valuable.
If they hire only 1 person for a position, they usually eliminate you for stupid reasons. Don't waste your time.
