Disappointed by their complete lack of professionalism
I was contacted by an HR representative on LinkedIn. I initially declined an interview, as the salary range provided was too low. The rep reached out to me again, indicating that the salary had been adjusted. She scheduled an interview the following day with two individuals from upper level management. The interview itself was somewhat strange- one of the individuals did most of the talking and seemed more interested in discussing what they were looking for in a candidate rather than learning about myself and my experience. He also spoke poorly of a previous candidate which I found to be unprofessional. The following week, he contacted me requesting that I start working for the company on a contractual basis to see how we work together. I agreed, and was sent a project from his colleague. In the email, she outlined the project, yet failed to provide a contract or discuss the terms of our agreement. I found this quite odd, and sent an email requesting more information. Her note was somewhat terse, explaining that I was only to complete this single project and that there would not be a contract. This was unexpected, as the individual who originally called me told me I would be working on multiple projects. I completed the assignment early, and emailed both individuals. I did not receive receipt of my work from either. Instead, HR sent me a "thanks but no thanks" letter a few days later, indicating that I was no longer considered for the position but could send an invoice for my work. This was upsetting, as I put great time and effort into a project for the company that was not even acknowledged. I feel as though the two individuals did not properly communicate their expectations with each other. They wasted my time and left me with a poor perception of the organization. I do not recommend interviewing for Aegis Therapies.
