I was first contacted by a recruiter over email where we scheduled a quick phone call to discuss the job. Then we had a 45 min phone call where she asked me more in depth questions. We then planned out a time for me to come interview in person but apparently the recruiter went on vacation without actually putting my interview in the schedule so when I arrived to the office no one knew who I was or why I was there. Two employees were nice enough to make the time to still interview me which went really well and it seemed like they were interested. The recruiter asked me when I’d be available to come in for a shadow day. For the next week and a half, I emailed, called, left voicemails, and texts trying to ask if they still wanted me to come in for a shadow because she had never got back to me about a date and I had other job offers to consider. I even sent an email practically begging her to just tell me if they were no longer interested. After being ignored numerous times I tried calling her on a different phone number and she answered right away! As soon as I said who I was, she hung up the phone..what grown adult does that? I’m just really shocked by this situation and feel extremely disrespected. I spent a lot of time and energy into getting this job and they couldn’t even let me know why their attitude towards me changed so suddenly or send me a simple email saying they’ve moved on to other candidates. I wouldn’t recommend anyone working here if this is the type of business they run.
