I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Aerotek (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Absolutely a big waste of time and terrible communication. I see them posting about an opening everywhere constantly, but the need must not be that great considering they could barely give me a call or email back.
I got in touch with a recruiter who passed me on to another one because they had actually left the job during the time I was getting an intro call. The current recruiter was nice but we played phone tag a couple of times before finally being transferred to an internal recruiter for the SJ location.
By this point I had expressed interest in the role and was still getting an intro call from the recruiter. I had to reach out for an email from them, and then I get a call earlier than they had given me. The call showed up for 5 seconds before they hung up on me before I could pick up my phone and is left with a very passive aggressive voicemail. I call back immediately and left a voicemail apologizing and asking for a call back. 10 minutes later I get another call that lasted 2 seconds, phone in hand before being hung up on again. Absolutely ludicrous. I call back, no response.
I send an email at this point apologizing and telling them, as politely as possible, that I am willing to work with them and whenever they would like. One week later no response. The unprofessionalism is high in this one. Worst interview process I ever had and we never even made it to the interview. A waste of 3+ weeks begging them for just an intro call!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I only got to the basic resume questions from the initial employee: (1) past experience (2) qualifications (3) desired salary (4) location.
The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.
