Received a call from HR who weeded me through to the hiring manager. Had a virtual call with the hiring manager and was then selected for another virtual interview with a medical writer and biostatistician. I was then given a writing exercise - 30 minutes to write something, on any topic that was not scientific. I was given no other guidance or guidelines. I never heard back from them after I emailed them my writing sample. I was told to feel free to email them with any other questions and they would be more than happy to answer my questions – well I never got a response to my emails. No confirmation email saying they received my writing sample, no email saying they already hired someone but thank you for your time. Nothing but dead silence. I emailed HR requesting some information as to whether the position had been filled, but again, no response. What kind of a company can’t be bothered to send a one line email to potential candidates just letting them know if the position was even filled. What a waste of my time and energy. Clearly this was a sign of what it would be like working for them.
