1st interview: Amazing, super awesome recruiter 2nd interview: also amazing. very detailed and explained the process and day to day incredibly well. 3rd interview: The strangest and one of the most inappropriate interviews I've experienced. Let's focus on the third since it ruined the whole thing. Upfront I was very honest and straight forward with my intentions for why I wanted to work with Aha! Little did I know that would be the very reason I'd be disqualified. I mostly didn't know this because it was basically the entire premise for how I structured my responses from the very beginning. So I was incredibly surprised to find out that reason was ultimately why I wasn't a "fit" This won't really be any different than several responses below me but I want to raise this to the top so people are prepared. In the third interview, the grilled me on organization, revenue, but not on the process or how I went from delivering products. They asked me to share what I thought was very sensitive information about the companies I've worked with. But generally, I knew within about 5-10 minutes the person wasn't interested and how they structured their questions was to prove I wasn't the a fit. Then they tried to sell a class to me at the end. Felt like a weird sales tactic in the end and kind of tarnished my respect for an otherwise amazing product. Looking back, it felt like the whole interview was structured to convince me that I have never done the role I have definitely done for 7+ years, and then sell a solution to me to get "experience" really doing that role. Final Advice: If you get to the third round or you found that they ask you incredible manipulative and pointed questions, answer with the Product process only. Don't give them specifics about your company. If I take them in good faith, then they are looking at how you have operated within a traditional product structure and process so you can then teach others that process and structure. If I take them in bad faith, then after you've answered those questions and they still aren't interested in you, then they are trying to convince you that you've "never done Product actually" and will try to sell a solution to you to get better at it.
