The recruitment process is very militant and impersonal. If you miss their initial call, they will not call you back same day and even if you call them right back an hour later. They will simply text you in the afternoon informing you to text them the next morning when you’re free to speak. It’s almost as if they really don’t want to speak to you or you’re just a number. When you do finally speak to a recruiter it sounds like they are calling from a loud call center and the call is literally a 2 minute call. I spoke to a Taylor Freeman and was literally asked what my experience was in admin support and then he told me that the job was Mon-Fri, 8-5pm, $25-30 an hour. After telling him my experience which is very good btw for the job qualification requirements of this position, he tells me that he will forward the information to the hiring manager to see if he wants to proceed. In addition, while I was speaking, he mutes his side of the line which was very rude to say the least. It seemed as if he did not have any interest in who I am as an individual or what I can offer to the company other than a body. If I was only going to be on the phone with this recruiter for 1-2 minutes, there really was no reason for him to delay our phone screen until the next day. I don’t know if I am proceeding in the next steps with this company as all of this just happened like 10 minutes ago and his omission of providing more information on the company left a sour taste in my mouth. Needless to say, the recruitment process at this company is very unprofessional and they are in dire need of energetic, passionate recruiters on their team that will really sell positions to new candidates. Today, I was not sold at all which is sad because Airgas is a very reputable company.
