I applied online. I interviewed at Airwallex in May 2020
Interview
I applied through Airwallex's Careers portal with a CV and Cover letter.
I was pleased to receive an email from a member of the talent acquisition team at Airwallex, saying she wanted to discuss my skills and experience and asking for my availability for a 30 minute phone call in the next few days. I locked in a time, spent the next two days researching and preparing and waited for the call. Like others here, it never came. Half an hour after our scheduled time I emailed checking if she needed to reschedule, assuming something urgent had come up. I didn't receive a reply so I followed up a few days later to clarify if she'd like to reschedule, but again received no reply or any contact.
My most recent role was working in a start up, so I understand working in a lean team. However failing to keep a scheduled appointment wastes a substantial amount of candidate's time, and then ghosting a candidate after scheduling an interview with them but failing to ever speak to them shows a lack of respect for people and their time.
Three to four rounds of interviews (HR, hiring manager, team members, etc.), a written test and a final round with the Chief Legal Officer. The entire process takes about a month to complete.
