I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Airwallex in Sep 2021
Interview
I had a phone screen with the recruiter. That went well, so they had me do a video call with the hiring manager. I did not move past that stage. They were very friendly and professional throughout. They've since changed this position to a director title.

Tell me about your experience using data to drive business decisions.
I would have to say Airwallex is utterly incompetent when it comes to gauging future talent. To complement this, they are horrific at providing any kind of valuable feedback. I think it speaks volumes when you see the reviews and all current/past/prospective employees have shared ghastly stories of their interview and or tenure at this is tech darling child. They do not espouse any Australian values and certainly come across as a very elitist and discriminatory organisation.
I do believe their product has a transformational impact but their people almost certainly do not. Given their aggressive growth story and trajectory, it is quite apparent that their Executive team are after multi-billion dollar paydays with no consideration for human cost.
Plenty of disillusioned people walking away from this business. It is quite arguably a case of Buyer Beware!

How about hiring on the basis of merit and not utilise an uneducated approach to identify future contributions and success of prospective employees?
