I would have appreciated a notification from them that they are not interested at this time, even though I'm quite sure I had all the required skills.

Several unstructured interviews with a recruiter and a hiring manager. I particularely did not aprpeciate being approached by the recruiter for a Senior Python Engineer role when the real title was Tech Support Engineer.
