I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Alarm.com (Boston, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
I was contacted by one of Alarm.com's talent recruiter's who had seen my profile on Handshake and invited to apply to the position. I then talked with him on the phone for an initial overview. After that I was sent a HackerRank coding test in C code, following submitting that I had another phone screen with a member of the Boston Team. I then was later invited to an onsite interview with multiple team members. A week or so after this I was sent an offer, which I accepted.

Question 1
Describe a Project you worked on with a group, now talk about what you would have changed and why if you could do the project again and you were in charge of descisions
Typical phone screen first for 30 mins. Then required to do a 4 question HackerRank in 60 minutes. Questions were at least medium level and languages locked to C and C++. 2 of the questions involved sorting/algorithms. Had another interview with a senior engineer which went well, talking more about embedded software. Notified that we would not be proceeding with more interviews. I asked for some feedback but was sent essentially the same denial email again. Practicing lots of medium level HackerRank/leetcode seems to be a prerequisite.
