I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Alcon (Fort Worth, TX) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was early but had to wait 30 minutes for my interview. It was in a room with a group of other interviewers and interviewee's. Very unprofessional. I was interviewed by HR and a manager for the department I was being hired for.

Did I have Data input experience and how fast can I do Data Entry.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Alcon (Rapid City, SD) in Oct 2023
Interview
The interview process was a joke. I received an email over two weeks ago from an Alcon recruiter saying I was selected for the phone screening. After countless attempts of reaching out to the recruiter with my availability she never scheduled the call. She told me last week that she would get back to me to set up a call for this week. Then I received an email today saying that they are no longer considering me for the position. Why send me the email that I was selected for the phone screening, if I would never have the phone screening?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Alcon (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2023
Interview
It was a very long process, with meetings with people of different levels in the company. From first contact to offer, 4 months went by, with about 3 weeks between each interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical HR questions, manager asked situational questions, BUH asked long term vision questions and GM was also long term vision, number of calls, successes in the past.
The interview process is long and lacks communication throughout the process. I had 6 interviews with various people and about a week in between each interview without any communication. The process left me questioning Alcon’s hiring strategies and unfortunately lead me not wanting to peruse a position with the company. I would recommend anyone considering a position with Alcon to ask for more transparency during the hiring process so you don’t waste your time.
