Applied in July via LinkedIn. Took about 2 weeks before hearing from a recruiter. I interviewed with this company 8 different times during a 3 month spread. Communications were very thorough during the beginning of process, and then it started to trickle away. There were times where the recruiter went MIA. I learned that he was on vacation for one week. We were very close to the final steps of the process, however it did take 3 months during the pandemic. I did not find that very pleasing. Their interview process needs to be more transparent as soon as the process starts. I was not expecting to do 7-8 separate interviews within a span of 3 months. The process took way too long for an entry level position and was not worth the time or the stress. I will admit that the pandemic did play a part in why the process took so long. However taking vacation while an interview is on-going is very unprofessional, and I was not informed of it. I did not feel motivated towards the end of the process where one of the Team Managers had told me that he would have a decision by the end of Friday. It took 1 1/2 weeks to hear back from the recruiter. The issue was because the company had been bought out. It would have been better if the recruiter had communicated what was going on internally. One of the VPs I interviewed with hinted that the company was being bought very soon. So I did have a looming idea of what was happening in the background. After the company was bought out, the position was removed. The recruiter had emailed me through a generic job email about the position being removed. I had asked for feedback and emailed the generic and his work email mid September and have not heard back yet. Overall, the process was stressful and very black-boxed. I had to go out of my way several times to find out what was going on.
