This interview process was a complete waste of my time due to an unprofessional and incompetent recruiter.
The recruiter initially contacted me requesting another copy of my résumé, screenshots of my internet upload and download speeds, and answers to several screening questions—all of which I promptly provided.
Shortly after, she sent me the wrong job description. The pay range listed in that description was far below what would be appropriate for a Registered Nurse, especially given my experience and skill set. My stated pay expectations were fully aligned with California RN guidelines and with the salary range posted on Alignment Health’s own website. The discrepancy between what was advertised publicly and what the recruiter claimed was “budgeted” raises serious concerns about transparency.
I clearly explained this to the recruiter. What shocked me most was her response—or lack thereof. She simply reacted with a thumbs-up emoji and canceled the scheduled meeting without any clarification or attempt to address the issue. This behavior was extremely unprofessional.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend working for this company. The lack of transparency around compensation, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct from the recruiter reflect badly on the organization as a whole. After reading other reviews from former employees, I’m grateful this experience ended early. Dodged a bullet—better opportunities are ahead.
