I had a call with the head of engineering over Skype and I was invited for an onsite in Paris.
The technical interview sessions were split into coding, architecture, and general software practices. The questions were based on realistic scenarios and applications. I was not asked to rebalance binary trees which I was thankful for. I had to write some code in python and get it running.
For the general software practices, it was more of a conversation with my interviewer about my thoughts on development processes and about how I approach my work .
This wasn't in the plan, but at the end of the tech interview sessions I was invited to sit-in for the weekly tech presentation.
To wrap up the process, the company went out for drinks to a bar nearby and I had the opportunity to talk to other people within the company including the ceo, and the cto. The employees seemed to care about the kind of person they were hiring.
