I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Allen Institute (Seattle, WA) in May 2018
Interview
Was one of the most interesting and enjoyable interviews I have had to date. The interviewers were very engaged and passionate about Allen. However, I was very disappointed that they never contacted me with a hiring decision, one way or the other. Even after I emailed the HR rep weeks later to check in, I never got a response. The people I chatted with appeared to respect me as a candidate, but their never bothering to contact me again indicated otherwise.
It was typical interview, no surprise. very polite people, 3o min with hiring team followed by 45 min with HR. They asked about describing situation where I was team player, and where I solved a problem, what was the problem and how I solved.
Initial screen, then 30 min with hiring manager and then a 45 min research talk with 5 hours of panel interviews. After all that, whole team including HR ghosted me even after I asked for updates several times. Super disrespectful, don’t be surprised if this happens to you too

Interview
A senior scientist reached out 2 weeks after I applied. We did a 20 minute Teams video meeting. Said that they would follow up with HR and if selected, HR would reach out about scheduling another interview with other people in the team. Never heard back.
