I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Allstate (Montgomery, AL) in Jan 2013
Interview
Pass credit check, background check, pass licensing requrements (state P&C, Life/Health/Accident, 6 & 63 + variable life w/in 2 years). Pass personality assessment (laughable). Show a bank account with money in it. Good to go.
Very easy and straight forward. The recruiters and sales leaders walk you throughout the process and business plan. They create an excel tool to use to show you your projected revenue, expenses, and cash flow.

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Allstate (Central, CA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Horrible, area recruiter wanted to meet in a casual fast food restaurant - least professional setting. Definitely was not what I expected. As an experienced agent I found the recruiters estimates to be unrealistic. The recruiter professed not to know their business practices and glossed over areas of concern.

How much money did I have in the bank to invest-need at least a hundred thousand I was told.
I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Jun 2019
Interview
The interview process consisted of being stuffed into a small room for observations. The process felt like an interrogation. The other agency owners were stand-offish and narcisstic. The HR lady was even domineering and overly aggressive.
