The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Ally Financial
Interview
The interview process started off fine (although with a very lengthy and detailed application). I received an email within a few days to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was 30 min and asked basic questions about my resume, experience and discussed the position. A face to face interview followed with separate members of the management team. Everyone was very nice however each person asked me the exact same questions and there was no opportunity for me to ask any questions, which was a bit of a red flag. A few weeks went by with no contact (despite following up) and I was finally told the position I had applied for was no longer available but they had a different opportunity if I was interested. The details of the position had yet to be established but I was brought in for additional face to face interviews. These interviews were not structured and neither person seemed to know what the other person had already discussed. The conversations focused more on clarifying the responsibilities of the "new" position rather than asking specific questions. 3 weeks later I received a generic email (using an incorrect name) saying the role had been filled. Over all, everyone was nice but I was very disappointed with the length and lack of professionalism in the process.
