Poor experience, rude interviewer. Would not recommend. Call centre environment. Would like to have seen them trying to get to know me better rather than making an instance judgement
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in Sep 2017
Interview
1st stage interview was a face to face 50mins. what do you know about us? how do we make money? how do you think we do our research? what do you expect the day 2 day work to be like? who are our competitors? how are we different? what else have you applied for?
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
Applied through university, got called for phone interview with HR within a week or so. HR interview was typical - walk me through resume, challenges, how to lead a team and so on. Once this round was cleared, scheduled a follow up interview with a more senior person (a VP) for another phone interview. Overall this interview was a short, pointless one. The questions were hardly anything - more like why MBA? why this school?.. I thought I was done with these questions when I was going through school admission! For my questions on the role, internship projects, potential full time role etc., answers were very vague - I got the feeling they did not have any clear vision for the internship.
The interviewer seemed disinterested and wrapped up a half hour interview in less than 20 mins. Got a mail within a week saying they are not proceeding further. Overall the only thing impressive was the speed of response from HR.
