I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights in Mar 2018
Interview
I applied for the Associate Programme and had a scheduled telephone interview after my application was screened. The interviewer was not particularly engaging and I felt the interview did not go into depth about my experiences, motivation or competencies. I felt the interviewer came across as somewhat disinterested - can't quite place my finger on why this was the case, just didn't get a positive feeling from her. I received an email saying other candidates demonstrated that they were a better fit for the role. I felt the process did not give candidates the opportunity to shine, which put me off the company. I wouldn't have attended a second interview if I had been invited due to the telephone interview process. I also found the process for booking availability impersonal.

Question 1
General competency questions, questions around my understanding of the company and the role - very brief interview, not very detailed.

Interview
First they phone you on the phone and ask about who you are and what you have studied. Then you're invited to an interview. I did this interview on Google Hangouts. If you're sucessful you get to do a case interview after that and then another interview after that. I just got to the interview (2nd round).
Honestly, I had mixed feelings about the position and the company. I had read many negative things about the company on Glassdoor before I had the interview and sadly some of the negative things that was written was true. The interviewer did for example seem very uninterested about my background and seemed to be more interested what other positions I had applied for.

Interview
I applied in late September 2018, within a few days i got an email inviting me for a short telephone interview. The interview lasted for about 15 minutes going over what I knew about the role and why I wanted the job.

Interview
I applied to the associate programme through their website and received an invitation for a primary 15-minute phone interview the same day. After submitting my availability and going through the first interview which consisted of talking about my education, experience, and reasons for applying to the company as well as checking my understanding of what AlphaSights does, I was invited to take part in a second round interview over Skype. The second interview lasted one hour and covered the same things as the first interview, as well as going in depth into the BREAD process (Brief, Research, Engage and Assess, Deliver) that is employed at the company. I would recommend researching this process beforehand and thinking about why each step is important.
I currently have an offer for the final round of interviews in person which will be the case-study interview.
