I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England) in May 2019
Interview
After a short phone interview, I was invited in for a face-to-face interview with one of the managers. She asked questions like "Are you interviewing with other companies?" and "What business model is AlphaSights? How do we make our money?"; she also asked about my motivation for the job, about my previous experiences and my understanding of the position and what the company does. The next stage was a Case Study interview where I was given a small e-mail from a client who was looking to buy a private clinic in Germany. The name of the clinic was not disclosed and the client wanted to find out as much info about the industry as possible. The task then was to find out which clinic is was, what the market was like and which specialists the client could be connected to. After 30 mins i was asked to talk about my findings.

A 15 minute phone call with a hiring manager. Very simple, went through my resume and then they asked about how I would handle conflicts and how I have handled stressful situations previously.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
I was reached out to via email by the HR Coordinator for the position to set up a time for a video interview ~3 weeks into the future. Prior to the interview, candidates are required to watch a series of videos and memorize information about AlphaSights' strategies.
The interviewer appears on his/her own without other members of the team and appeared confused about the Communications Associate role as the description of the role as explained in the interview was entirely different from the job description on the application. The interviewer drank loudly from a straw throughout the interview as the candidate was speaking, and consistently asked the candidate to repeat herself.
