Process began with me submitting an application via LinkedIn, received an email in about 2 weeks notifying me of the next step in the process. This was the notorious AVA video interview where you record yourself answering a small series of questions. It seems as though people have a tough time getting past this point so just make sure to know two things like the back of your hand, the BREAD process (they will let you know prior) and what AlphaSights does as a company. Be concise and well versed. In about 3 days I received another invitation for a one on one interview with an HR rep at the company. It was very relaxed and felt like a traditional conversation based interview, nothing new here, just a walkthrough of your Resume and personality. A week later I got yet another invitation to visit the Nyc office for an in-house interview. This is where things got a bit more difficult and in depth. The first hour consists of a case study with one of the managers, the prompt was quite simple and all you have to do is search for people who seem to be a match by using LinkedIn. Then he will ask you a multitude of questions regarding how and why you choose those individuals, so be prepared to use ur critical thinking skills. The Next hour is with another VP who will batter you with tough behavioral questions such as why you chose your major, times you’ve failed, what your teachers think about you, etc. what makes it difficult is that while you’re answering questions they’ll cut you off and ask tougher subquestions, this is just a test to see how quick you think on your feet, don’t crack. There will also be a mock call during this part as well, I’m sure you’ve read about it. Theres really no way to prepare for this part as they don’t give you any lines to say on the company’s behalf so my recommendation is that you play the role professionally and try your best. I know I didn’t do the best on this. I’m still waiting to hear back after this. Overall a mostly positive experience so far
