I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AlphaSights (Hong Kong) in Jul 2021
Interview
Super tricky interview.
1) CV
2) Video Interview (HireVue)
3) HR Interview
4)...
Failed at HR Interview. Super tricky at this stage, there is an expectation for you to understand the business model well and to have the skills they are looking for. Having the pre-requisite experiences is important to showcase your fit to the role. Interviewer is from HR but will grill you on technical skill.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the business model of Alphasights? How do you convince a client that wants you to cut short certain rules but you know you can't do that? Any experience solving conflicts between stakeholders?
Three rounds - first round general competency, second round case study and phone call role play, third round an hour long competency and experience interview with a VP. Third round was a longer and more difficult version of first round. Second round involved one case study with access before, and the second case study was done on the spot.

Question 1
Why client service rather than consulting, and what is the difference
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AlphaSights
Interview
Coffee chat with Alphasights recruiter
One to one interview with recruiter - regular STAR questions, ended up asking about my proficiency in a third language I spoke even though that wasn't what I was recruited for
Interview with VP(?)
3-4 stages, last stage was really unexpected a far more intense behavioural and background interview, wasn't really given any materials from the company. However HR was super helpful whenever I reached out.
