The interview process at AlphaSights involved multiple stages centered around a case study approach. First, I had to present my completed take-home case study. Based on my experience, I'd strongly recommend focusing on being clear and concise when discussing the expert profiles you identified, and demonstrating a solid grasp of value chains. The Project Framework Breakdown in the Associate Interview Guide (page 9) was particularly helpful for preparation, along with supplementary research on value chains.
After my presentation, I received feedback on my expert selections and was given the opportunity to apply this feedback in a shorter, follow-up case study. In this portion, I had to identify appropriate expert titles based on a brief, without actually conducting LinkedIn searches. The interviewers provided substantial feedback throughout, and it was crucial to stay engaged and actively incorporate their suggestions.
The final component was a mock vetting call where I role-played as a member of their Client Service Team while my interviewer acted as an expert. Success in this portion required maintaining a client-first mindset and showcasing strong communication skills. During the process, I learned about AlphaSights' revenue model: they generate income by connecting clients with experts, where clients pay for the service and experts receive compensation. Associates play a key role in both persuading experts to participate and negotiating their speaking rates with clients.

Question 1
Role a play a scenario based on the case study you're given.
Stay away. Realized how much of a scam it is as I went through- ended on my own accord after final round. There will be no exit opportunities with this company whatsoever. You will be stuck. Know some friends who have worked here and regret every second of it.
