I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Altar'd State (Arlington, VA) in Jan 2023
Interview
Going into the interview I knew that the store was “christian” based. I have no bad view on the store employees was just creeped out when I was told after the interview that I had to do an assessment and if I passed that, I would get the job but if I didn’t I couldn’t be hired in any of the stores as that job title. (you can only take the assessment once for whatever position you apply for) After some digging into the company I found out that all employees appear to have to sign an NDA to not speak about the company after working. All red flags to me so I chose not to continue with the company.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself? What is a strong quality about you? What is a weakness about you?
very spontaneous and chill. the manager interviewed 5 of us at once and the questions were super easy. she gave me the job on my way out. very low stakes and easy questions. nothing to be worried about.
I applied online. I interviewed at Altar'd State (Little Rock, AR) in Sep 2021
Interview
The stores in Little Rock (in Park PLaza Mall and The Promenade at Chenal) are run by very unprofessional people. You would think this was a nice and inviting place, but no it's not. I had an interview with them and they told me to go to the wrong store. So I had to interview with someone that was unprepared and knew nothing about my resume. They should have told me to go to the store my interview was supposed to be from, instead of rushing through and asking me bogus questions. I was contacted from a "manager" through text messages only ( which is weird, they should have emailed professionally with correct times and dates). I even asked the "manager" twice to confirm where and what time my interview was. How she told me the wrong place twice is beyond me.. Very disappointed with how they handled things.
