Spoke to representatives at the NCSU Career Fair and they told me to apply online. Called me in for an interview and then applied to Altec in general online. They assign you to the department they see best fit. The interview itself was pretty lengthy. You interview with each department manager one on one and then take a tour of the facility. Overall, you are exhausted but you have a lot of chances to meet great people.
