Made it to the first panel interview. Where I have always said electricity is the same no matter the format used, I was stumped by a few questions asked. My experience has to do with aircraft, meaning a lot of commercial electrical items are similar, but not the same. Where I have worked with 3 phase generators and various types of motors, I knew the answer to reversing the direction of the turn was to swap the polarity. Unfortunately for me, I have never needed to know how to change the direction on a 3phase motor because I have never worked on one or needed to change the direction. If you can read a diagram or know how to trace wires, electricity is simple. It gets tricky when you get more in depth like zenner diodes and logic gates. Overall, I wish the process was quicker as I am still anxiously waiting, but from a typical company with a great worker happiness rating, it's more about the right fit for the team and not just knowledge. Longterm success of any team is about vision, and this company knows what personality fits best, which slows the process. Whether I get the position or not, it was a great experience and has given me a second wind to increase my education in the field I desire.
