Had a phone interview. My advice is to not ask "tell me a little about your company." This seemed like a reasonable question after telling the interviewer about my experience and background in detail. Well, the interviewer became very upset that I had applied to a job without doing "research." I thought this very rude--I agree that it would be appropriate for interviewer to make a note that I did not do research, if that is a red flag. However, it was unwelcome to turn the conversation to an adversarial tone. I thought I was being friendly, well I was wrong. So my advice is do your research and impressed them during the entire process. Do not ask questions, they can challenge you.
The interviewer also told me TWICE that they would call me if they wanted to pursue further. the second time she told me was unsolicited, so I felt like saying I got it the first time. But, I held my tongue.
meh, the interview lasted 10 minutes....I think my salary requirements were too high.
