The interview process had four rounds. The first round was a short phone screen with the recruiter. The second round focused on my technical background and past machine learning work. The third round was a live coding session with data preprocessing, model design, and error analysis. The final round was a panel interview that included a system design discussion, a behavioral section, and a deep dive into one of my past projects. The team explained the structure clearly and helped set expectations at each step.

They asked me to explain a complex ML project in simple language, including the problem, the approach, and the business impact. I answered by walking through a project where I built a predictive model from raw data, explained why I chose a certain algorithm, described how I handled model performance issues, and shared the final results and impact.

Interview
Contacted by recruiter then talked to a data scientist for technical interview. Invited for half day STAR behavioral interview. However, the half day interview process was so mixed, I almost walked out of the the last, most dreadful interview. The manager laid out how the interviews would go and what content would be discussed, but there were several major discrepancies. RUN AWAY FROM AWS PROSERVE! Their interview process is so bizarre and arbitrary your time would be better spent elsewhere. And, the prize for making it through the process is a notoriously terrible burnout environment. They also forgot to have me sign confidentiality waiver so will update with more details later.
