The discussion focused mostly on general experience and time management rather than technical aspects of mechanical design. Later feedback mentioned that I did not meet the bar for the mechanical design engineering role, which was surprising because technical topics were not deeply discussed during the interview. A more structured technical evaluation could help candidates better demonstrate their engineering capabilities. Overall, communication from the recruiter was timely, but the evaluation criteria during the interview process could be clearer.
