I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2017
Interview
Very Lengthy process. I cleared the phone screen and was scheduled for onsite interviews. It was back to back interview with 7 different people. I was very well prepared and also answered most of the technical questions. Behavioural questions were based on 14 Leadership principals. I shared my real experiences with them and correlated them with the leadership principals. After so many rounds candidate atleast deserves to know the feedback. Don't know what kind of people they are looking for. At first i got upset for not getting selected but may be something better than Amazon is in future for me. I wasted 3+ months for this interview which was not worth it.

there was no interview well traditional interview, you completed tasks online and watched videos answered the questions and got the job at the end, they didn't tell you that though they just emailed saying been successful a few days later.
Phone interview conducted via zoom. Focused on competency and alot of questions regarding Amazon's leadership principles. Only an internship role so may differ to grad role interviews. Make sure you have strong networking fundamentals.
