I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon in Jun 2017
Interview
This was phone interview for a Senior Manager Software Development. The interviewer was very arrogant and had an attitude from the very beginning. He didn't even have the basic courtesy to explain the role in detail. He was more focussed on getting notes and never took the initiative to find out what the candidate had to offer. More on focussed on STAR rather than understanding the real experience. I am glad that I would not be working for/reporting to such a person.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.
