I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2017
Interview
I was submitted through the employee referral program. A recruiter contacted me 3-4 weeks later to phone interview. The initial phone interview was followed up by two more phone interviews with a manager and peer recruiter.
The last interview was in Seattle with the same manager I had phone interviewed with, a Recruiting manager, and a "bar raiser" in a completely different role.
After a week they called me back letting me know they liked me but not for that position and to keep an eye out for further communication about another role that may be a better fit. It has been about a year now and no additional contact came following that presumably positive call.

three step process - one hour test, forty five minutes with hiring person, then three one hour peer interviews. (not including interfacing with the original recruiter). a bit of communication gap during the process as the scheduler's email after the one hour test didn't seem to get in my email

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2026
Interview
At onset, was referred to an open role, applied and was selected for an initial screen from a recruiter. Had heard the interview process was difficult and needed to be prepared. Really need to understand the culture and core competencies of Amazon.
