The first round was the technical round where one senior employee sits beside me and ask me to edit the images in photoshop. He asked me to use the pen tool and edit an image. Asked to lighten the black mole of a Model to fifty percent. Asked me the short cut for quick masking(which is Q). And also told me remove the yellow buttons of a shirt by retaining the texture of the shirt.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Chennai) in Jul 2017
Interview
As it was a 3 months contract role so they don't ask much. First they gave intro about the company and the role. They clearly mentioned after that they can't promise about a permanent role. After that technical round on Photoshop like removing the background of any product. Another on Masking and another there will be two images and he/she will ask you to change the color of the Image 1 to match the color of Image 2- it should be the same color.
We didn't had any apps round such as grammar or versant test
To get the offer letter it took nearly a month
But always remember guys it a contract role don't think you will get a permanent role. We were like 50-60 people some also on a 6-months contract who joined prior to us, even they didn't get a permanent role. We tried our level best to get permanent role but unfortunately we didn't get but learned many things.
At Amazon you can work on contract basis only for a maximum of 2 times only after that you have to go for permanent role only.
