I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2014
Interview
I applied through an employee referral and was contacted within a few days. The process consisted of one video interview, one phone interview, and the final on-site interviews. All 3 types of interviews consisted of both behavioral questions and case study questions. The phone interview lasted for one hour, and the on-site interviews lasted for about 6 hours, with 5 hour long interviews and an assessment test. The assessment test consisted of carrying out a pricing project in excel with large amounts of data. I was told several times that completion of the project within the allotted time was crucial. The interviewers clearly wanted in depth, very concise, and very analytical responses to each question asked. The environment at Amazon seemed as though it would be innovative and challenging, but very high-stress and very high-pressure.

Question 1
What is your favorite book? If presented with the option to send out a marketing email for this book, would you or would you not? Why? If you decided to send one out, what would you include in the email, who would you send it to, how would you decide on all of these things, and which metrics would you use to analyze if the email was a success?
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England)
Interview
The first step involves logical and attitudinal exercises on their platform to assess both your analytical skills and your approach to changing work scenarios. It’s important to have a strong understanding of the leadership principles when answering.
The second stage consisted of three separate interviews conducted on the same day (with breaks in between indeed). The first two were competency-based interviews - using the STAR method is essential and it’s important to include one, two or more leadership principles in your answers.
The third interview was a live case study.

Something revolving around a challenge you faced with a client
My interview process consisted of multiple structured stages, including an initial phone screening with the recruiter, a detailed line manager interview, and a four-round interview loop with cross-functional stakeholders to assess experience, problem-solving, and role fit.
Star. Pretty much you have to follow the structure exactly how they describe and you are in. They will have a prepation call. Highly recommend attending also because you get to practice it there
