OA round 2 hr very difficult leetcode problems. Post which there is behavioural scenaio. This consists of multiple different real time qeustions on how you will manage and drive project
The OA consisted of three parts:
DSA Problems: One easy and one medium problem. I finished both in 20 minutes.
Work Simulation Round: This had 5–6 modules where I was bombarded with emails and had to select appropriate responses. It also included real-world problem-solving, like debugging an issue where a product page wasn’t loading. This round was mainly design to assess my decision-making and leadership principles.
Behavioral Questions: Multiple-choice format where I had to pick the most likely and least likely responses to different workplace scenarios.

Question 1
The first interview was focused on Data Structures and Algorithms, and it was led by a senior engineer from Amazon. The problem I got was a full and focused one using Graphs, that is the Currency Converter problem (Link) which many ask about.
Handling both input and output, as well as using the correct data structure, was what made my solution successful.
The interview concluded positively, and I received an invitation for the second round shortly after.
I went through the Amazon interview process recently. The coding part was fair — the questions were reasonable and manageable if you’re comfortable with data structures and problem-solving. The behavioral portion, however, was the main focus. They went very deep into the “Leadership Principles” and asked for multiple detailed examples for different scenarios.
I felt prepared for coding, but I underestimated how much weight they place on behavioral answers. Even though the conversation itself went okay, I didn’t receive an offer. My main takeaway is: if you’re preparing, spend as much time on Amazon’s behavioral style questions as you do on coding. They really want to see structured, concrete stories aligned with their principles.
Would recommend others to prepare a strong set of STAR examples ahead of time.
