I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Mar 2022
Interview
Based on my long experience along with Amazon either the recruiting team or the interviewers, I'd say they are one of the worst ever to communicate with.
Most of the technical interviewers are poor in knowledge and communication, and I believe they were hired because of networking and contacts without the basis of real experience and competency.
The conundrum when they are asking for hiring lead or senior level engineer, they are still asking the most awkward and silly questions which in my opinion reflects a level of technicians not for Engineers.
I wouldn't try again with them unfortunately as to is not worth for my mental health and time.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Low-level questions, the interview was a manager coming from a technician background and he didn't know how to address proper questions or even entice the interviewee to stay in the interview.
2 phone interviews, one onsite. A lot of homework after interviews to submit, just like they wanted to get something from me. Very tired to talk to a lot of people
The final interview includes hire manager, senior manager, managers, colleagues and HR. One day will finish these interviews. The interviewer will meet after the interview, and make final decision in two days.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Boston, MA) in Jul 2022
Interview
The complete interview process has 5 rounds, 1 screening and 4 full loop rounds. Each round starts with 2 behaviorial questions. However, for your level, check about the details with the HR you are talking to before your interview. I was a lil surprised or I should say was not aware that behavioral questions will be asked in the screening round too. The interviewers are all very helpful, and provide guidance when needed. They definitely want you to succeed and not fail. The screening round was a coding round. I heard back from the HR the same evening. In the full loop, 1 round was design and rest 3 were coding rounds. The HR got back to me with an offer 4 days after my full loop. Overall, a good interview experience.
